What is the unpopularity of taxpayers that we see most of us mean in terms of technology, e.g. How does AR work? In AR a specific range of data (images, animations, videos, 3D models) can be used and people will see the effect on natural light and performance. Also, users know that they are in a real world driven by computer vision, unlike VR.

Augmented reality (AR) adds digital content onto a live camera feed, making that digital content look as if it is part of the physical world around you.1


In practice, this could be anything from making your face look like a giraffe to overlaying digital directions onto the physical streets around you. Augmented reality can let you see how furniture would look in your living room, or play a digital board game on a cereal box. All these examples require understanding the physical world from the camera feed, i.e. the AR system must understand what is where in the world before adding relevant digital content at the right place. This is achieved using computer vision, which is what differentiates AR from VR, where users get transported into completely digital worlds.

Cameras and sensors-

 Collect data about user interaction and send it for processing. Cameras on devices explore the environment and with this information, the device detects material and produces 3D models. It could be special work cameras, such as Microsoft Hololens, or standard smartphone cameras for taking photos / videos.

Processing-

 AR devices ultimately have to act like small computers, something that modern smartphones do. In the same way, they need CPU, GPU, flash memory, RAM, Bluetooth / WiFi, GPS, etc.

Guessing-

 This refers to a small project in AR headsets, which takes data from sensors and digital content projects (the result of processing) upside down for viewing. In fact, the use of projects in AR has never been fully developed for use in products or marketing services.

Thinking-

 Some AR devices have eyeglasses that enable the human eye to view visual images. Some have a “range of small curved mirrors” while others have a two-dimensional mirror to illuminate the light on the camera and user eye. The goal of these visual aids is to create the right image alignment.


How Does AR work

Now that you know the definition of AR, how does it work? First, the computer view understands what is in the world around the user from the content of the camera feed. This allows it to display digital content that matches what the user sees. This digital content is then displayed in a realistic way, so that it looks part of the real world - this is called dedication. Before we break this down into more detail, let’s use a concrete example to make this clear. Imagine playing a real board game that is unpopular with taxpayers that we see using a real grain box as physical support like the image below. First, the computer view processes the green image from the camera, and then sees the grain box. This stimulates the game. The delivery module enhances the first frame with the AR game to ensure it goes directly with the grain box. In this case it uses 3D shapes and box shapes determined by computer view. Since the unpopularity of taxpayers we see live, all of the above should happen every time a new frame appears on camera. Most modern phones operate at 30 frames per second, which gives us only 30 milliseconds to do all of this. In most cases the AR supply you see with the camera is delayed by about 50 ms to allow all of this to happen, but our brains don’t care!


Why does AR need a computer vision?

While our brains are very good at understanding images, this is always a very difficult problem for computers. There is a whole branch of Computer Science dedicated to it called computer vision. The unpopular reality for taxpayers we see requires an understanding of the world around the user in terms of semantics and 3D geometry. Semantics replied "what?" question, for example to recognize a grain box, or whether there is a face in the picture. Geometry answers “where?” question, and it sets where the grain box or face is in the 3D world, and where they are headed. Without geometry, AR content cannot be displayed in the right place and angle, which is important to make it sound like part of the physical world. Usually, we need to develop new strategies for each domain. For example, computer vision systems that operate a grain box are very different from those used for faces.
